Split Graduation
Traditionally, the university holds one ceremony for all graduating students, during which students are awarded their diplomas. Beginning this year, however, the university will hold two graduation ceremonies. Under the new arrangement, half the graduating students will participate in the first ceremony, and the other half will participate in a second ceremony to be held the following day. Administrators cite two reasons for the change. First, the number of students has increased in recent years, and since diplomas are awarded individually, the single ceremony has become uncomfortably long. Also, the hall where the ceremony is held is too small to accommodate the growing audience of friends and family members.

(woman) Yeah, I mean, right now each graduating student can invite up to ten people. That’s too many. At most schools, students only get to invite like four or five people. 1、踩點(diǎn)法
踩點(diǎn)法是將答案分解成幾個(gè)部分,分別是學(xué)校的舉措及原因,學(xué)生的態(tài)度和理由。這種方法的優(yōu)點(diǎn)是結(jié)構(gòu)清晰,答案詳細(xì),也能夠充分利用答題的60秒,讓考生做到有話可說(shuō)。

The university is planning to spend a huge amount of money on building a new sports complex (舉措) because they want to draw the attention from more high-level students.(原因1) And also, they are really hoping tostrengthen the tie between the university and the local community.(原因2) But the woman thinks it is a terrible idea.(表態(tài)) She thinks that spending money in such placesas the library and cafeteria, which top students obviously care more about, isa much better choice compared with wasting it on building sports complex.(原因1) Besides, it is not going to help strengthenthe relationship because people did not come to games because they hated towatch the teams losing, not because there were not enough seats.(原因2)

綜合法將口語(yǔ)答案分成了三個(gè)部分,分別是學(xué)生的態(tài)度以及對(duì)其閱讀材料或支持或反對(duì)的理由。這種答案最大的優(yōu)點(diǎn)是綜合,與綜合口語(yǔ)的含義一致。將聽(tīng)力與閱讀材料結(jié)合在一起進(jìn)行描述,體現(xiàn)了學(xué)生的理解和復(fù)述的能力。

The woman is strongly opposed to the university’s decision to construct a new, expensive sports stadium. 在使用這些模板的時(shí)候,我們沒(méi)有必要一味的照抄照搬,可以在大家掌握一些指示詞和過(guò)渡詞的情況下,實(shí)現(xiàn)同義替換,讓這些模板更加有自己的特點(diǎn)。
